Homeopathy - Holistic Medicine

How Homeopathy Works

Homeopathy Medicines

Homeopathy is a holistic energy medicine. Homeopaths are convinced that the human body is far more than the total of it's constituent parts. They believe that people should be treated holistically i.e. the whole person should be treated. Homeopaths believe that the mind, the emotions, and the internal organs are interconnected and integrated. They believe that it is wrong to treat one element of the body without considering all of the aspects of the person as a whole.

Homeopathy Taps into the Energy Within

These interconnections are complex and are not easily understood. With homeopathy there is no need for any deep understanding as they trust the homeopathic process. This process taps into the body's energy system. Most of the time the body's energy system performs well and without intervention. When we become ill and develop disagreeable symptoms we normally recover our health with, or without, medicines. The body is excellent at healing itself. However there are some occasions the body's natural healing energy and powers become unbalanced or diminished.

Homeopathic Healing Process

Using a motor car as a simile for the human body, modern vehicles will perform very well if they are treated well, given the right fuel, and maintain and drive them in a sensible manner. However if you forget to turn off your headlights the battery will go flat. In this situation there is a need to jump-start the car i.e. transfer energy from the battery of another car. Once this happens the car is motoring again. Homeopathy is just like jump-starting the body. The energy source is the homeopathic remedies and when used in accordance of the law of similars the body will be back in full working order once again.

Homeopathy - A Safe Holistic Therapy

People choose homeopathy on many occasions because they have become disillusioned with conventional medicine. For many it is overly dependent on drugs and is heavily influenced by the large pharmaceutical companies. A lot of modern drugs are toxic for the body and many create unpleasant side-effects for some people. Even when these side-effects are not obvious there can be long term negative consequences. Most modern medicines do not cure medical conditions rather they address the symptoms and manage the illness. Such drugs are specific and are not holistic. When you visit a consultant you are usually treated by someone that specialises in a small area of the body and ignores other parts and the body as a whole.

Holistic Principle of Homeopathy

Homeopathy does not seek to treat the symptoms of a medical condition in isolation. Homeopaths view symptoms as indicators of adjustment, stress, and distress. The correct remedy addresses and fixes the root cause of the symptoms. By correcting the cause the symptoms fade away.

Homeopathy views the patient holistically and as a distinct individual. Even if two people present with an identical medical condition they may react differently, with different symptoms and will require different and individualised remedies.

Application of Homeopathy

For long term and chronic medical conditions you should attend an experienced homeopath rather than attempting a home remedy. However if your illness is not serious it is possible to effect satisfactory outcomes with a small number of remedies and some basic knowledge of homeopathy.
