What is involved in a CranioSacral Session?A typical first CranioSacral session starts with Mary recording all of your medical history including accidents and medication that you might currently be on including vitamins and minerals. Mary will then advise you on what to except during a session as it is very individual to each person. Cranial sacral therapy is a non-invasive treatment and it is best to wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing however you only have to remove your footwear. As CranioSacral is hands-on treatment you will lie on a plinth and Mary will usually start at your feet and move up the body depending on your specific needs as everyone is different. Most people find a session to be a thoroughly relaxing experience. What is involved in a Reiki Session? For your first Reiki session Mary will ask you to lie down, fully clothed, on the treatment table. If lying down is too painful then Mary can conduct the session with you seated or standing. During the Reiki session Mary will very gently lay her hands on, or over, different parts of your body. You may feel a slight tingling at the area of treatment but this will not be an unpleasant sensation. Some clients have reported to Mary a sense of intense healing heat in the area of treatment. The vast majority of Mary's clients end their Reiki session in a deeply relaxed mood.
Artane Complementary Therapist Mary Conlon - in her Own WordsI was attracted to the world
of complementary therapies because of my daughter, who at the age of
six weeks was diagnosed with eczema and asthma. After many years of
attending different doctors and specialists during which her treatments
only helped to control the condition and give some relief for short
periods of time. I eventually stumbled upon Cranial Sacral Therapy when
my little girl was nine. After three or four sessions of the CranioSacral
treatment there was a major improvement with her skin and it was flaring
up less and less often as time went by. After seeing such results I
became hooked on finding out more about this wonderful treatment and
then went on to study CranioSacral therapy. I have being working in
this field since 2004 and have since gone on to study Reiki and Bio
Testing Therapy in order to gain as much knowledge as I can in treating
my clients. I am still attending courses and workshops regularly so
I can keep up to date with everything as things change all the time.
