My Reiki Story

When my Grandson was 3 years old my Daughter was visiting my home and he was not well he suffered with Asthma he was so bad that we had to get an ambulance for him. Another time I was looking after him for a Weekend and we ended up in hospital all night. I felt my heart was breaking I was so helpless to help him it was awful.

Reiki found me in late 2005; I came across a card offering Reiki and did not know what it was about. I looked it up on the Internet and thought I would like to know more, it was near Christmas and thought no more about it. For Christmas my Daughter gave me a book called Reiki for Beginners and I could not put it down, I was really interested. Around the same time I got a call from my cousin in Spain. She told me she had just done a course in Reiki and she thought I would like it, she told me more about it. I thought if I could only help my Grandson I would be happy. That was it, in May 2006 I was on a flight to Spain to do my Reiki 1 course. I met her teacher and liked her straight away.

After completing Reiki 1, and seeing the result’s I was getting, my Grandson’s asthma improved so much that there has been no ambulance trips since. Doing the course also changed my life forever; people close to me started telling me I had changed. I became more confident in myself and more positive, so much so I could not wait to do Reiki 2, I thought the three months would never be up. I did Reiki 2 in November 2006. At the time I had no interest in teaching and was happy where I was, I went on to do the Masters level 1 in February 2008 but as they say you will do it when, and if, it is right for you. People kept asking me all the time how does Reiki work and I thought why not teach? I am answering all the questions now anyway. I wanted to help others to empower themselves and help their family’s heal. I went on to do the Master level 2 in May 2009. I have to say doing the Reiki course is the Best Decision I ever made for myself, my family, and now my clients and students.

I also did an Angel Reading Course to add to my Healing therapies. Life is a Learning Journey and we are learning till the day we leave this Earth.

I am a member of Reiki Federation Ireland.

My Approach and Philosophy to Reiki

After I did Reiki 1 and I saw the benefit’s my family friends and my dog got from having Treatments. I thought everybody should have the benefit of this treatment. This is why I went on to do Reiki 2 & then to Teaching Level 3.

I’m passionate about helping people to empower themselves, be positive about their lives and get back their confidence. Feeling that inner Calm gives us the ability to deal with anything that life throws at us. I think that we all deserve this as we all have the ability to help Heal ourselves.

Reiki will help you to do this by balancing the Energies in three ways, Mind Body & Spirit.

There are two ways to experience Reiki one is to have a Reiki Treatment from a Practitioner, the other is to attend a Reiki Course where you will be taught how to give Reiki to yourself, your friend’s family and animal’s etc.
