Reiki Federation of Ireland

What is the Reiki Federation of Ireland ?

The Reiki Federation of Ireland (RFI) aims to promote the highest levels of practice of Reiki - a complementary therapy - in Ireland. A secondary aim is to create a country-wide association of all active Reiki practitioners. Membership of the Federation is open to Reiki therapists that have completed a workshop in the presence of a Reiki Master or Teacher. Following an informal gathering of practitioners, from across Ireland in Portlaoise, in 2002 the Reiki Federation of Ireland was officially launched in 2003.

In the few years since then the Federation has made tremendous progress on a number of fronts. Amongst other notable achievements the RFI has secured sizable reductions in insurance costs for members. Insurance is one of the most significant costs borne by Reiki therapists. The Federation also issues a regular newsletter, promotes social gatherings for networking, circulates a therapist referral catalogue and maintains an information filled web site.

The Reiki Federation of Ireland is a member of Federation of Irish Complementary Therapy Associations - FICTA - which lobbies on behalf of the issues of concern to complementary therapists, to Government and other relevant bodies.

Aims of the Reiki Federation of Ireland

The mission statement of the RFI is :

"to foster and nurture the understanding and the practice of Reiki as a healing art"

The Federation unambiguously represents the interests of all types of Reiki as practised in Ireland. It also issues standards of practice guidelines for therapists, practitioners, Reiki teachers and masters. The RFI promotes the highest standards of practice and maintains a catalogue of qualified therapists, teachers and masters.

The Reiki Federation of Ireland promotes a rigorous code of ethics and practice that strives for an absolute minimum standard of practice by members and practitioners when delivering Reiki treatment.
