Reiki Hand Positions

The following images demonstrate some of the more usual Reiki hand positions used on the head and upper torso by a therapist when treating a client.

Reiki Hand Position Image 1 Carefully cover the client's eyes without applying any pressure to the sides of the nose.	Reiki Hand Position Image 2 Place hand around the temple areas of the head	Reiki Hand Position Image 3 Gently cradle the head, fingers curled around the occipital ridge and gently rock the client's head until it's centered on both hands.

Reiki Hand Position Image 4 Hold the hands over the throat and thymus. If a client finds this uncomfortable then place the hands under the throat rather than above it.	Reiki Hand Position Image 5 Place hands over the heart and heart chakra. The heart chakra is located between the breasts.	Reiki Hand Position Image 6 Below breasts over the lower ribs
